Ginny Jones is the founder and editor of, a website that offers resources (articles, advice, etc.) for parents who are confronted with their child’s eating disorders.
We met her to talk with her about her projects and the helps she brings to all those in needs.

Hi Ginny,

Thank you so much for accepting this interview.
Can you first tell us a bit more about you ? Why and how did you started ?

Hi !
I founded More Love in 2016 after recovering from a 30-year eating disorder. I wanted to create an online resource to empower parents to raise kids who are free from body hate, disordered eating, and eating disorders. We publish articles and resources to educate parents about weight, food, and mental health. We seek to reduce the fear and shame parents feel when they suspect or discover that their child has a problem.

I believe full recovery from an eating disorder is possible, and I support a
Health at Every Size approach to parenting.

Where is More Love located ? Are you acting only locally ?

We’re located in Santa Monica, California. More Love is available to people all over the world. I’m thrilled to see visitors every day from countries including France, New Zealand, South Africa, El Salvador, Philippines, Pakistan, and literally every region in the world.

Congrats ! Can you describe who More Love is addressed to and what is its objective?

My objective with More Love is to provide support for parents who are up in the middle of the night, worried sick about their kids’ health. Whenever I publish an article, I think about what someone might type into Google when they are scared because their kids are doing something unusual with food and eating. We try to cover a broad range of body hate, disordered eating, and eating disorder topics so that we can help parents wherever they are along the spectrum.

What kind of supports do you propose?

We provide articles, social media posts, online courses, e-books, and quizzes to help parents identify food and body problems and begin to address them. We recommend therapy for kids and parents who are encountering body, food, and eating issues. It is our strong belief that eating issues are a symptom that can easily distract from the emotional disorder, so we try to constantly bring parents back to the concept that eating disorders are mental disorders and require well-informed and specialized therapeutic intervention. We recommend that all parents participate in therapy, since eating disorders are frequently a symptom of relational and attachment issues, and parents who heal themselves support their child’s recovery.

What are your next steps ?

We are constantly building new articles, posts, quizzes, e-books, and online courses.

How do you communicate ? How can we find you ?

You can find us on our website and social networks linked below.

Is there anything special you would like to tell to those suffering ?

I’d like to tell everyone that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible. Even in long-term cases. Recovery has expanded my life in ways I never thought possible. I wish full recovery for every single person not because of the behaviors we lose, but because of the emotional connections we gain.
Thank you so much Ginny for your time. Love.
